    2. Summary

This is a purely static website. There are no user accounts, no contact forms, no newsletter, no analytics or tracking tools, no advertising, and this website sets no cookies. Fonts and scripts are not loaded from third-party servers.

    3. Hosting

This website is served by Codeberg Pages, provided by Codeberg e. V., Arminiusstraße 2 - 4, 10551 Berlin, Germany.

When you visit the website, the host processes technical data that your browser sends automatically:

    • IP address
    • date and time of access
    • requested page or file
    • referrer URL (the page you came from)
    • browser and operating system

This data is needed to deliver the website and to keep it secure and stable (e.g. to fend off attacks). The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is the secure and reliable operation of the website. According to Codeberg, IP addresses are truncated in log files and technical metadata is kept for no longer than 7 days. See Codeberg’s privacy policy for details.

    4. Storage in your browser

To keep your display settings, the website stores small entries in your browser’s storage, all prefixed with td-. This information never leaves your device and is not sent to us or to third parties:

    • localStorage: your chosen light/dark theme (td-color-theme), your chosen style (td-preset) and the width and state of the sidebar, table of contents and footer (e.g. td-shell-sidebar-w, td-shell-sidebar-collapsed, td-shell-toc-collapsed, td-footer-collapsed). These entries are only stored when you change the respective setting and remain until deleted.
    • sessionStorage: the state of keyboard navigation and the command palette (e.g. td-kbd-palette, td-kbd-zen). These entries are deleted automatically when you close the browser tab.

The search on this website runs entirely in your browser: the search index is loaded from this website and your search terms are not sent anywhere.

This storage is strictly necessary for the website features you use (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG). You can delete the entries at any time in your browser settings.

    5. Contact by email

If you contact us by email, we process your email address and the content of your message in order to answer your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR or, if your request relates to a contract, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. The data is deleted once it is no longer needed for this purpose, unless statutory retention obligations apply.

This website contains links to external services (e.g. Codeberg, my website or my blog). Data is only sent to the respective provider when you click such a link; their privacy policy then applies.

    7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right at any time to:

    • access the data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR)
    • rectification of incorrect data (Art. 16 GDPR)
    • erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
    • restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
    • data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
    • object to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR)

To do so, simply contact the email address above.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR), in particular in the EU member state of your habitual residence, place of work or place of the alleged infringement.
